The new regulatory technology firm Complect added Kevin Keefe as a member of its advisory board.

Keefe was until February the president of First Allied Securities. The firm replaced him with Mimi Bock, who was hired by Cetera Financial Group to oversee both First Allied and Cetera Advisors as president.

Denver-based Complect launched in April as a new platform that matches financial services firms with compliance consultants. The platform carries 45 compliance specialists in 18 U.S. states and three countries.

The firm added Keefe in hopes that his 30 years of experience would help raise Complect’s profile in the investment advisory and broker-dealer space, according to the company release.

“It was critical for us that an advisory board member see the significant opportunity to disrupt the arcane financial regulatory compliance space and share our vision of providing financial services firms with more accessible and cost- efficient methods to source quality compliance expertise,” said Hanh Nguyen, the chief executive officer of Complect and the firm’s co-founder.

Keefe said in the release that this move highlights his enthusiasm to be included in something “forward thinking and, yet, so simple.”
