Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc., an independent broker-dealer and advisory firm based in Miami, has launched a three-pronged diversity initiative to help women, millennial and prospective financial advisors.

The Super Women’s Summit, first pioneered by Securities America, is a women advisors business workshop. Its mission is to build professional collaboration and a deeper sense of community for women advisors affiliated with Ladenburg’s independent advisory and brokerage (IAB) firms.

Nearly 200 female advisors attended the first company-wide meeting of the Summit, held from June 5-8, 2019, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Financial advisors from two of the company’s subsidiaries, Securities America and KMS Financial Services, attended the event.

Ladenburg’s NxG Connect Study Group for advisors under 40 also launched companywide at this year’s first national conference for financial advisors. Nearly 60 financial advisors attended.

Developed and tested by Securities America over the last five years, the NxG Connect Study Group’s mission is to provide younger advisors with actionable insights that will take their practices to the next level and to build valuable connections with their next-gen peers.

Link to the Future is the third initiative Ladenburg debuted. Link to the Future seeks to identify and encourage prospective financial advisors by providing college-age students with conference scholarships, as well as funding and access to national Ladenburg events.

Last week, Ladenburg welcomed a record number of 36 college students pursuing potential careers in the financial advice industry.

The second national event for Ladenburg financial advisors will be held in Washington, D.C., from August 19-22, 2019. Financial advisors from Triad Advisors, Securities Service Network (SSN) and Investacorp are invited to attend.
