CenterPoint Wealth Advisors is the latest in a string of advisors in the past three months to partner with LPL Financial’s broker-dealer, corporate registered investment advisor and custodial platforms, according to a release from LPL.
The move marks the 10th for LPL since the beginning of June.
The Wells Fargo team of Glenn Drake and John Kinzer, based in Crownsville, just outside of Annapolis, Md., managed $225 million in brokerage and advisory assets, the release said. It said the duo partnered in 2003 and have more than 60 years combined experience in the industry, the release said. They are joined by operations manager Rachel Waltjen, who has worked with the team for more than 17 years.
The team, which serves mostly affluent families, executives and small business owners, said LPL’s philosophy is in sync with theirs. “We believe this move to LPL will allow us to run our business more effectively and serve our clients better. It’s evident that LPL’s technology is designed both for the advisor and client. We also like the fact that LPL has no proprietary products or investment banking products they are trying to promote,” they said in a statement.
LPL Financial, headquartered in Fort Mill, S.C.; San Diego; and Boston, is the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer.
