Mariner Wealth Advisors, a wealth advisory firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the assets of Snow Creek Wealth Management LLC in Nashville, Tenn.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Snow Creek, a fee-only independent RIA founded in 2007, is led by partners David Goldberg and Larry Sacks, manages $300 million in client assets. The firm provides individuals, families, estates and trusts with asset management and financial planning services to build, preserve and manage their wealth.
Under the deal, both Goldberg and Sacks will remain with Mariner Wealth Advisors and continue to manage the Nashville location, while Mariner will provide the team with access to additional resources and infrastructure.
Mariner is also opening a new office in Wichita, Kan. Jason Craine, a senior wealth advisor currently based in the Overland Park office, is relocating to the new Wichita space, set to open in early November. Craine has more than seven years' experience developing wealth advisory solutions for individuals.
In addition to expanding its geographic presence, Mariner is adding to the advisory strength of its existing Scottsdale, Ariz., office with the hire of Eddie Dulin. Dulin brings over 20 years of experience implementing financial strategies for affluent families, individual clients and businesses. He served most recently as a senior financial advisor and senior vice president of wealth management at Merrill Lynch.
