Financial advisors Travis Marshall, Nichole Whatley and Jordan White, operating as the Marshall & Whatley Investment Group in Harrisonburg, Va., have joined national brokerage firm D.A. Davidson & Co., a subsidiary of D.A. Davidson Companies, according to a news release.

The Marshall & Whatley team was formerly with Truist Bank, where the practice managed approximately $400 million in client assets. The team is now part of D.A. Davidson Wealth Management, which provides individuals, families, businesses and institutions with a wide range of financial products and services.

According to a spokesperson for D.A. Davidson, Marshall began his brokerage career in 2008 with Scott & Stringfellow, while Whatley began hers in 2006 with BB&T Investment Services. The duo’s former employer, Truist Bank, was formed in the 2019 merger between SunTrust Banks and BB&T.

The news release reported that Marshall, Whatley, White and their team would temporarily be located at a new Davidson office at 2054 Pro Point Lane in Harrisonburg, but would be moving into a permanent location in the coming weeks.

“We are pleased to strengthen our East Coast presence by welcoming a team that is highly respected in the Harrisonburg community,” Michael Purpura, president of wealth management for D.A. Davidson, said in the release. “The opening of this new office reflects our firm’s commitment to partnering with advisors who share our client-first philosophy. We look forward to serving their clients.”

Founded in 1935, D.A. Davidson Companies is an employee-owned financial services firm headquartered in Great Falls, Mont., with corporate offices in Denver, Los Angeles, Portland, Ore., and Seattle.
