RBC Wealth Management has hired a longtime Merrill Lynch advisor in Colorado with $438 million in client assets, according to a news release.

John Terrion, who serves as managing director and financial advisor, had been with Merrill Lynch for 26 years. He focuses on “risk management, crafting portfolios that reflect clients’ financial and legacy goals,” the release noted. He, along with investment associate Meagan Belford, will be based in RBC’s Boulder office.

“With a focus on delivering a white-glove experience, I’m thrilled to be joining RBC Wealth Management’s Boulder branch. The firm’s extensive resources will allow us to grow our practice and ensure our clients receive the highest level of service,” Terrion said in a statement.

Dan Ball, Rocky Mountain Complex director at RBC Wealth Management—U.S., said Terrion’s hire is “a significant win for our Boulder branch.” He added, “Having a high-caliber advisor like John join us will greatly enhance our visibility in the Boulder area.”
