Crispin Hanshaw, formerly with Schwab Stock Plan Services, has joined Morgan Stanley in Palo Alto, Calif., as the company’s executive director of business development, the company announced today.

In his new position, Hanshaw will be working closely with Mark Curtis and Karen McDonald of the Palo Alto Group, which specializes in high-net-worth investing. He will be reporting to Scott Rash, managing director and complex manager of the Silicon Valley Complex office.

For 18 years, Hanshaw worked for Schwab as managing director of stock plan sales. Before joining Schwab, he worked for four years at E*TRADE Financial as sales director, business solutions. Hanshaw earned a B.A. degree in business economics from UC Santa Barbara.
