Gathering employment data of the hottest jobs from Indeed.com and the average rent for a two-bedroom apartment from Rentjungle.com, the list estimates what your savings may be to live in these cities.

For this ranking, the highest paying job was $187,000 on average in the United States (medical director). A security supervisor, which pays $31,000 per year, was tracked as the lowest paying job. The average pay for a business related job was $75,000 per year.

Cities in some states, like Texas and Nevada, benefited from the lack of a state personal income tax.

With a population of 466,893, Omaha has plenty to offer for employment, education and entertainment. A recent college graduate or professional has an average salary of $65,089 and an average monthly rent of $1,009.
