Lee Shapcott has been hired by QMA as global chief marketing officer to help with the firm’s continued global growth plans, QMA announced Wednesday.

Shapcott, formerly global head of marketing and senior vice president for AllianceBernstein, will be based in QMA’s corporate headquarters in Newark, N.J. He also was production editor of The Financial Times.

QMA, which is the quantitative equity and global multi-asset solutions business of PGIM Inc., has $128 billion AUM. The hire is part of QMA’s ongoing work to build its global capabilities in sales, client service, marketing and consultant relations.
