Raymond James Financial Services has hired a team of Florida financial advisors who were previously aligned with Ameriprise Financial Services and managed $475 million, the company announced today.

The new team, working under the banner of Leeward Financial Group, includes financial advisors John Piotrowski, Richard Holsan and Scott Gribbons, who have joined Raymond James’s independent advisor channel. The announcement was made by Todd Gartrell, the Southeast division director for Raymond James Financial Services.

Piotrowski had worked at Ameriprise since 2005, according to Raymond James. Holsan had worked there since 2009. According to his BrokerCheck page, he also previously held positions at Wachovia, Securities America, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch.

At Leeward Financial Group, based in Lighthouse Point, Fla., the team will be joined by Doreen Gest, a practice business coordinator, and client services manager Janice Leechalk. Raymond James says the team will offer financial advisory services to both individuals and institutions.

“In partnership with Raymond James, the Leeward Financial Group is excited to embark on a new path that allows us to leverage the flexibility of an independent platform and the vast resources and capabilities that Raymond James brings to a growing financial services practice focused on a client-first culture,” said Piotrowski.

Raymond James Financial Services Inc., based in St. Petersburg, Fla., had assets of about $1.22 trillion as of March 31, 2023, the company said.
