The two joined Raymond James & Associates from Wells Fargo Advisors, where they managed approximately $462 million in client assets. Also joining them at Raymond James are Alicia Carinalli, senior registered client service associate, and Alexis Smith, senior client service associate.

The recent problems Wells Fargo has experienced have resulted in Raymond James recruiting several advisory teams from that company.

“As Wells Fargo and other large national firms have focused on credit cards, loans and other activities, advisors who want more flexibility and less pressure from corporate have come to us where they can run their businesses as they want to,” Curtis said.

Raymond James has also focused on recruiting female advisors and advisors of color. Changing the makeup of the advisor force is a long-term project, but the company’s leaders are working with colleges and other organizations to promote diversity in the field, Curtis said.
