A veteran UBS team managing about $900 million in assets has left that firm to open a new branch with RBC Wealth Management in Roanoke, Va., the company announced Monday.

The Meridian Group, which specializes in comprehensive financial planning and asset management for wealthy families and businesses, includes financial advisors N. Edward Link Jr., managing director, who has 34 years of industry experience; Michael Kemp, managing director, with 28 years of experience; Bradley Blum, senior vice president, an industry veteran with 15 years of experience; and Allison Link, with four years of experience. The team also includes Virginia Riddle, senior financial associate; Michaela Frantz, senior registered client associate; Judith Honaker, senior registered client associate; and Kristy Joyce, client service associate.

Kemp said the partnership with RBC is a win-win for both parties. “Being able to offer our clients the full wealth management platform of RBC is something we believe will benefit our clients now and for decades to come," he said in a press statement. "And we love that RBC gives back in a significant way to nonprofit organizations in the communities in which it operates.”

Pat Vaughan, East division director at RBC Wealth Management, said the new branch in Roanoke demonstrates RBC’s commitment to growth in the East division.
