In response to the allegations, Morgan Stanley investigated Greenberg’s conduct, but did not remove him, according to the report.

In fact, no action was taken against Greenberg until a reporter called Morgan Stanley to inquire about his conduct. Subsequently, the advisor was placed on administrative leave, according to the New York Times.

In a statement, Morgan Stanley told the reporter that Greenberg was being dealt with, and expressed its commitment to creating a safe environment. Greenberg declined comment to the New York Times reporter.
