Financial advisor Kevin Cooper in Boca Raton, Fla., has exited Morgan Stanley, where he managed more than $464 million in client assets, to join Raymond James & Associates (RJA), the firm’s employee advisor channel, according to Bert White, Florida regional  director for RJA.

“We continue to see strong growth here in our home state, and are pleased to build on our recruiting momentum by welcoming Kevin and his team,” White said in a press release. “I know first-hand Kevin’s dedication to providing high-quality financial guidance and support to each and every one of the clients he serves.”

Cooper’s practice, operating as Cooper Family Office Consulting of Raymond James, also includes senior registered client service associate Jean Panarello. In a prepared statement, he said that he and his team had joined Raymond James based on the firm’s reputation in the financial services industry.

“Raymond James has a stellar reputation as a firm that empowers advisors,” Cooper said in the press release “The technology, resources and support are second to none, while the firm is flexible enough to have a boutique and customizable feel. Most importantly, the ability to have a family office practice allows our team to tailor our advisory service offerings to cater to the families we represent and maintain.”

An industry veteran with nearly 30 decades of experience, Cooper has served as a financial advisor with several firms before spending 10 years at Merrill Lynch. In 2005, Cooper transitioned to UBS Financial and Morgan Stanley in 2013.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., Raymond James & Associates is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., diversified financial services company with total client assets of $1.18 trillion worldwide.
