A five-member team managing $650 million has joined Rockefeller Capital Management in Atlanta, according to a news release.
The Scarbrough Group is led by Mike Scarbrough, managing director and private wealth advisor, and his son, Travis Scarbrough, senior vice president and private wealth advisor. They are joined by Robbie New, senior vice president and private wealth advisor, Abigail Gentry, vice president and client associate, and Mike Scarbrough's daughter Jennifer Marsh, vice president and client associate.
According to its website, the group’s “planning-based approach and open-architecture platform is designed to provide clients with expert, unbiased counsel and strategies tailored to their families’ evolving needs and goals.” The team will report to Michael Outlaw, national field director of the Rockefeller Global Family Office.
Mike Scarbrough had been with Morgan Stanley since June 2009, according to BrokeCheck. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1983 and moved to Citigroup Global Markets in 1987, where he spent the bulk of his career before joining Morgan Stanley. Travis Scarbrough joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 after spending a year at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. New began working at Morgan Stanley in 2012, Gentry in 2018 and Marsh in 2009.
The Scarbrough Group is the 73rd team to join Rockefeller private wealth division since its creation in 2018.
New York City-based Rockefeller has 32 offices across the U.S. and London. As of December 31, the firm was responsible for about $95 billion in client assets across its three business segments: the Rockefeller Global Family Office (including Private Wealth Management and Family Office), Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
