Rockefeller Capital Management today announced that PBS Wealth Partners, a five-member team from Merrill Lynch with $1 billion in assets under management, has joined Rockefeller in Newport Beach, Calif.

The team is led by Alpesh Patel, managing director and private wealth advisor; Matthew Birkett, senior vice president and private wealth advisor; and Darren Siegrist, vice president and private wealth advisor. It also includes Hai Dang, team chief operating officer as well as Chris Iwamasa, associate vice president and senior client associate.

According to their BrokerCheck profiles, Patel was with Merrill Lynch since 2009 and, prior to that, was with Wells Fargo starting in 2002. Birkett worked at Merrill Lynch starting in 2009 and, prior to that, he worked at Well Fargo starting in 2005; Siegrist started at Merrill Lynch in 2017. Dang started at the firm in 2011 and Iwamasa in 2014.

Last week, Rockefeller added its first team in the Colorodo market, the Richeda and Farr Group. With the addition of PBS Wealth Partners, Rockefeller’s private wealth business now has 46 teams across the U.S.

The New York City-based Rockefeller Capital Management, an offshoot of Rockefeller & Co., was created in 2018.
