Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc., the St. Louis-based broker-dealer subsidiary of Stifel Financial Corp., has hired two former Wells Fargo Advisors teams managing a combined $445 million in client assets, the company announced yesterday in a news release.

Bryan Person, Jesse Wright and Alex Person, operating as The Person Wright Financial Group, join Stifel in Sioux Falls, S.D., where the team manages $340 million in client assets. Their branch manager is Jennifer Sherman.

“Our branch has doubled in size this year and we are in a new location as a result of our growth,” Sherman said in the news release. “We feel this move for The Person Wright Financial Group will be a great fit for everyone involved.”

In addition to The Person Wright Financial Group, advisor Ed Wilder has joined Stifel’s Bellevue, Wash., office from Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was responsible for $105 million in client assets. His branch manager is Mark McClure.

McClure said in the news release that two of the factors influencing Wilder’s decision to join Stifel were the firm’s client-centric business model and commitment to equity research. For its part, according to McClure, Stifel couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Wilder to its family of advisors.

“We are thrilled Ed chose to join our team,” said Mark McClure, branch manager.  “His addition brings us to over $2 billion in assets under management in Bellevue, a 100% increase since our opening in 2013.”

Founded in 1890, Stifel Financial Corp., is a multinational independent investment bank and financial services company headquartered in St. Louis.
