Vanguard is cutting fees on 12 mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, the company announced Thursday.

Some of the strategies pegged for lower expense ratios cover both mutual funds and ETFs. For example, the International Dividend Appreciation Index Admiral Shares and International Dividend Appreciation ETF will see their 2018 fiscal year-end expense ratios reduced from 0.25% to 0.20% for fiscal year-end 2019, or a 20% haircut.

The International High Dividend Yield Index Admiral Shares and International High Dividend Yield ETF are slated for fee reductions from 0.32% to 0.27%. And the Emerging Markets Government Bond ETF and Emerging Markets Government Bond Index Fund Admiral Shares will be trimmed from 0.30% to 0.25%, while the Emerging Markets Government Bond Index Fund Institutional Shares will go from 0.29% to 0.23%.

The other affected funds are as follows:

Vanguard Selected Value Fund Investor Shares - from 0.36% to 0.33%

Vanguard Windsor Fund Admiral Shares - 0.21% to 0.20%

Vanguard Windsor Fund Investor Shares - 0.31% to 0.30%

Vanguard Emerging Markets Select Stock Fund Investor Shares - 0.94% to 0.93%

Vanguard Explorer Fund Investor Shares - 0.46% to 0.45%

Vanguard says the new expense ratios won’t be reflected in the funds’ online profiles until each fund files its prospectus.
