Wealthstream Advisors Inc., a New York City independent boutique wealth management firm, announced today it has acquired Lifetime Wealth Planning and Management LLC., expanding its presence in the Northern Virginia/D.C. Metro area. Deal terms weren't disclosed.

Based in National Harbor, Md., Lifetime manages more than $112 million in assets and specializes in working with clients who are undergoing a transition in their lives, including retirement, loss of a spouse or dealing with an inheritance. It focuses on comprehensive wealth management that includes financial planning, investment management and ongoing financial advisory services.

Lifetime president Carolyn Walder said in a statement that partnering with Wealthstream gives the firm an opportunity to continue providing the level of comfort it brings to clients as a caring and accessible firm, while expanding the level of resources and talent at their disposal.

Wealthstream founder and president Michael Goodman said Lifetime advisors are a natural fit because they share Wealthstream’s investment philosophy and the firm’s drive, team-oriented culture and client-first attitude.

The acquisition represents the third strategic partnership that Wealthstream has completed in the past four years. Its assets have increased 160% since its first acquisition in early 2017 through a combination of organic and inorganic growth, the company said. The firm’s assets are now at $967 million following the Lifetime deal.
