The Meredith Lindung Wealth Management practice, headquartered in Towson, Md., has joined Philadelphia-based Janney Montgomery Scott LLC with a $1.35 billion book of business, the company announced in a news release.

The team, led by financial advisors Andrew Meredith and Kevin Lindung, co-executive vice presidents/wealth management, was formerly with Merrill Lynch, which they joined in 1998. Their practice serves individuals, pre-retirees and businesses, a spokesman said.

Scott Kelly, senior registered private client associate, joined Meredith and Lindung at Janney as an employee of the company. He has been with the practice at Merrill Lynch since 2017, the spokesman said.

Meredith said he and his team felt it was time for a change.

“Janney’s boutique size and financial stability provide the necessary resources and flexibility to grow our practice and meet changing client demographics and needs,” he said in the news release. “The firm’s emphasis on unmatched client service aligns seamlessly with our values, so we can continue to meet and exceed client expectations.”

Bob Steinke, regional manager and senior vice president, said in the release that his firm looked forward to having its newest team leverage Janney's client-focused platform to help them grow their practice.

“They bring [a] highly personalized wealth management approach to help clients achieve their financial goals,” he said.

Including Meredith Lindung Wealth Management, Janney has added14 financial advisors in 2021, the spokesman said. As of March 31, the firm had more than $115 billion in assets under advisement (AUA).

Founded in 1832, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC is a subsidiary of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia.
