Ameriprise Financial Inc. in Minneapolis has hired Mark Burton of Dayton, Ohio, and Peter Bazirgan of Providence, R.I., who have a combined $320 million in combined client assets under management (AUM), according to a news release.
For the past 16 years, Burton was with Wells Fargo, where he managed about $152 million in AUM. He has formed a team at Ameriprise with his branch manager, Todd Lucius, called The Burton Lucius Financial Consulting Group
Burton joins Ameriprise as a financial advisor and managing director. His former Wells Fargo team at Ameriprise includes his wife, Norma, a client service associate, and Sandy Long, a registered client service associate.
Bazirgan was formerly with Merrill Lynch his entire 22-year career, where he managed about $168 million in AUM. His branch manager at Ameriprise is Eugene Lonergan.
