Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a wealth management, capital markets, and management firm headquartered in Philadelphia, has hired five financial advisors in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., the company announced this week in a news release.

The five advisors were formerly with Raymond James, where they collectively oversaw nearly $450 million in client assets, according to a spokesperson.

The team's advisors are Jeff Sellers, vice president/wealth management; Greg Young, executive vice president/wealth management; Jack Gary III, senior vice president/wealth management; Brian Gary; and Beth Young. They are joined by registered private client associates Michelle Buczek, Jennifer Cutolo, and Margo Ylipelkonen.

Sellers, an industry veteran with three decades of experience, discussed the team’s due diligence in looking for a new partner, and why they ultimately chose to affiliate as employees of Janney.

“Janney’s reputation and stability are a perfect fit to help support our clients, and grow our business in the current environment,” Sellers said, referencing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “Their people-first approach, coupled with a strong platform and resources, will allow us to continue to serve our clients, while deepening and expanding existing relationships.”

Thomas Urban, complex manager and senior vice president at Janney, said he was thrilled to welcome the former Raymond James team to Janney.

“Their personalized wealth management approach is an excellent value-add to their clients and our culture,” he said in the news release. “We look forward to supporting them as we continue our growth in the South Florida region."
