Best Super Bowl Ad Of 2022: FTX’s “Don't Miss Out”
Going in back in time, different characters played by Larry David, shoot down the important inventions of the wheel, the fork and toilet. He tries to destroy the Declaration of Independence, does not believe people can land on the moon, and thinks the light bulb and portable music are stupid. In modern day, he shoots down FTX being a safe and easy way to get into crypto. He says, “Aaah, I don’t thinks so. And I am never wrong about this stuff. Never.” At this point the screen reads, “Don’t be a Larry.” The next screen says, “Don’t miss out…on crypto…on NFTs…on the next big thing.” The ad pokes fun at all the investors that are not believers in the new ways to invest and gets some laughs, especially from the Curb Your Enthusiasm fans.

Final Thoughts
It still amazes me that companies spend so much on these ads, but often there are so many duds. For the first time in doing this for over 10 years, I am giving a mention of the worst Super Bowl Ad. It was Salesforce’s “The New Frontier” with Matthew McConaughey. Not only did it run before the big game and it is pointless, but McConaughey in the hot air balloon is just annoying.

It was interesting to see more financial services companies with ads this year, including two of my top six picks.

To the New England Patriots and Your Cousin from Boston…we’ll get ‘em next year! “And I am never wrong about this stuff!”
