One of the platform’s best features is its fund onboarding, Boca said, where they can do in minutes what it would take an advisor days to do manually.

“Think of an eight-year fund that has 65 different documents. That fund takes us six minutes to onboard. We sort through all the documents, tax documents and distribution notices. We’ll have historical performance in six minutes,” Boca said. “If an advisor is going to do this manually for a client, there needs to be someone in an accounting role, and it might take them a couple of days.”

And the platform’s biggest benefit is its visibility, he said.

“Most investors in real estate don’t actually know their true performance. Now the advisor can say ‘REITS are paying 7% and your portfolio of single family houses is also paying 7%. Is it worth it to you to keep them?’” he said. “And there’s visibility for estate planning, too, whether it’s a Porsche collection or startup investments or direct-owned real estate. Just having a place where all of this lives is important.”

AdvisorVue can operate with existing, common platforms like Black Diamond, Addepar and Tamarac, Boca said.

For a limited time, AltExchange is offering advisors the ability to track as much as $25 million in assets for free.
