Advisor Group announced on Monday it has appointed Jamie Price as both CEO and a member of the Phoenix-based broker-dealer network’s board of directors.

Previously, Price served as head of wealth management at Advisor Group Americas at UBS, and before that as president and COO of Prudential Securities.

Since leaving UBS, he’s served as executive vice president for the concierge healthcare provider network 1-800 Doctors.

Price replaces Erica McGinnis, who stepped down from her role as president and CEO of the broker-dealer network in August shortly after Advisor Group was sold to private equity firm Lightyear Capital.

Lightyear’s current president, Donald Marron, is also a former UBS executive.

Price will report to Valerie Brown, who will remain the executive chairman of Advisor Group’s board of directors.

“This is a time of dramatic change and disruption in the financial advice business. Across our industry, advisors are adapting to a landscape that is shifting beneath their feet,” said Brown in a statement released on Monday. “We know Jamie is the right leader for the future of Advisor Group because he is a long-standing champion of financial advisors and sees how they can turn this moment into a tremendous growth opportunity.

Advisor Group now has a total of $160 billion in client assets managed by 5,000 financial advisors within its network of four broker-dealers.
