Dr. Tsuyoshi Ozaki has joined American Century Investments, a wealth management firm in Kansas City, Mo., that supports medical research, as a portfolio manager within its Disciplined Equity group, American Century announced Friday.

Ozaki will co-manage the U.S. Disciplined Large Cap Growth (Disciplined Growth/NT Disciplined Growth), U.S. Disciplined Large Cap Long/Short (AC Alternatives Disciplined Long Short), and U.S. Utilities (Utilities) strategies.

Ozaki, who has worked in the investment industry for more than 18 years and holds a doctorate in neuroscience, joined American Century from Axioma Inc., where he served as director and senior member of the global equity analytics team.

The controlling owner of American Century iInvestments is the non-profit Stowers Institute for Medical Research, a medical research facility in Kansas City that draws scientists from around the globe to do research on cancer and degenerative diseases.
