Angela Vlach has been appointed CEO and LPL branch office manager for Financial Advocates, an office of supervisory jurisdiction based in Olympia, Wash.
Vlach is the first woman to head an OSJ for LPL. Financial Advocates is the fourth-largest OSJ with LPL, managing $9 billion in assets. In addition, Gary Campbell, founder of Financial Advocates, will assume a new role as chief strategy officer for the organization.
Vlach has served as the firm's president and chief operations officer since 2009. She will continue to lead all Financial Advocates teams, including business development, compliance, branch development, marketing, technology and operations. She will also oversee the firm's partnership with LPL Financial.
Campbell will continue to oversee the strategic direction of the firm, including providing expanded guidance for contingency and succession planning for the independent advisors.
