Shrewsbury, N.J.-Seeking to expand its coverage in
areas of acute interest to readers, Financial Advisor Magazine (FA)
plans to launch three new columns in 2005 authored by experts in the
profession, according to FA editorial director Evan Simonoff. The new
columnists are Harold Evensky, Deena Katz, Roy Diliberto, Mitch Anthony
and Rebecca Pomering.
Diliberto and Anthony will write a bi-monthly column
on issues regarding money and life starting in the February issue.
Diliberto, who is CEO of RTD Financial in Philadelphia, served in 2000
as the first president of the Financial Planning Association and is
currently writing a book that will be published by FPA. Anthony is CEO
of the Institute for Financial Life Planning in Rochester, Minn. and is
the author of "The New Retirementality."
Evensky and Katz will co-author a quarterly column
on wealth management. As principals of the Coral Gables,
Fla.-based advisory firm, Evensky & Katz, the partners have
authored numerous articles and books and speak frequently at
professional gatherings. Evensky, who coined the term wealth
management, authored a book with that title in 1996. Katz, the author
of Deena Katz On Practice Management, is currently working on a book
about reinventing retirement to be published later this year by
Bloomberg Press.
In April, both Katz and Anthony will give separate
presentations on the changing nature of retirement at the first annual
Financial Advisor Retirement Planning Symposium in Las Vegas.
Pomering, who is a principal at the Seattle-based
accounting firm, Moss Adams, and an expert consultant in practice
management, will write a bi-monthly column on practice management for
Financial Advisor. Pomering currently serves as a member of FPA's board
of directors and, together with Moss Adams partner Mark Tibergien, is
writing a book, called "Practice Made Perfect," to be published later
this spring by Bloomberg Press.
"We are truly humbled to have Harold, Deena, Roy,
Mitch and Rebecca agree to become columnists for Financial Advisor,"
Simonoff said. "Between the five of them, they can bring insights from
a wealth of over 60 years combined experience to our readers,
experience that is priceless. All five also have or will speak at our
Financial Advisor Symposium, a conference that is held every fall in
Chicago and is designed to bring our magazine to life."
