Sontag Advisory, among the largest independent advisory firms on the
East Coast, has expanded to Westport, Conn.
The new office
will be headed by Michael N. Delgass, a managing director of the firm,
which has more than $3 billion under management.
Delgass has prior
experience working with clients in Connecticut, having joined Sontag
from the Greenwich, Conn., office of the law firm Day Berry &
Howard, where he served as an estate planning attorney, according to
Sontag. Delgass has more than 10 years of financial planning
experience, with a specialty in tax, succession and estate planning,
according to the firm.
"As we've
continued to grow, our clients have demanded the kind of accessibility
that necessitates a greater presence in Connecticut," said Howard
Sontag, president and founder of Sontag Advisory. "Michael, having
spent the last six years advising in the Connecticut market, has the
kind of expertise that will help us to better serve our clients as well
as to grow in an important region."
