Filling what it says is a void in the financial services industry, Rydex Investments has launched an alternative investment training program for advisors.
The program, called Training Essentials, is designed to instruct advisors of the potential risks and rewards of alternative investment strategies.
The program, which can be accessed at, includes on-site continuing education courses, educational materials and downloadable reports, according to the company.
Rydex noted that several recent studies have indicated that online training programs specifically designed for financial advisors are in short supply.
"Over the last several years, many new alternative investment strategies have been made available to financial advisors and their clients, yet no one has trained advisors on how to use them," said Rich Kendrick, director of program marketing at Rydex Investments. "It is our hope that Training Essentials will fill this void."
