BondView Releases Covid-19 Muni Bond Ratings Tool
BondView, an Albertson, N.Y.-based investor advocate for municipal bonds, has launched a free ratings tool on its website that can assess which municipal bonds are most likely to be hurt by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the potential scale of any impact.

BondView’s COVID Impact Ratings identifies and monitors municipal bond risk by assessing five key factors in a bond: its sector of issuance, material events affecting the bond, its geography, the marketplace perspective and the bond’s liquidity.

The ratings, which are updated daily, are available in both summary and detailed views.

FiscalNote Launches Political, Regulatory Analysis Tool For Investors
Monitoring government action and understanding how it affects industries are technical challenges for investment researchers, says FiscalNote, a software and data company with offices in New York and Washington, D.C. And the company has launched a market research tool to help investors face down those challenges.

The new product, FiscalNote Markets, will provide clients with technology-driven insights for specific legislative and regulatory activity. The company also provides expert analysis.

FiscalNote Markets combines political and regulatory analysis with the company’s artificial-intelligence-powered software, data and analytics tools. For its new offering, FiscalNote acquired Sandhill Strategy LLC, an investment research firm co-founded by Katie Bays and Stefanie Miller, both of whom are now managing directors for FiscalNote Markets.

Currently, the product offers investment analysis in politics and elections; fiscal and trade policy; energy and utilities; technology, media and telecommunications; and tobacco and cannabis. The company also plans to add coverage in health care to its analysis later this year.
