Gregory Manto and Ed Pontarelli joined Ameriprise, the broker-dealer and RIA announced Tuesday.
Manto comes to Ameriprise from AXA Advisors with $87 million in assets under management. Manto’s practice operates as a franchise under the name Iron Birch Advisors in New York, N.Y.
“I was seeking a firm that would provide plenty of support, but also flexibility in how we structure our practice,” says Manto about choosing Ameriprise.
Pontarelli, along with his registered client service associate and practice manager, Carrie McPherson, previously worked at Oppenheimer and Co. in Providence, R.I. He manages $76 million in client assets.
Minneapolis-based Ameriprise has more than $891 billion in total assets under management and administration, as of July 2018.
