The San Francisco 49ers football team has named BNY Mellon the “Official Investments Company” for the football team and a founding partner of Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The 10-year agreement is set to begin when the team's new stadium opens in 2014 and run through the 2023 season, according to the investment management firm.

As part of the agreement, BNY Mellon will have exclusive branding rights for the East and West Legacy Clubs located at field level. These clubs at the 50-yard line will serve more than 900 patrons each game day and will have team tunnels that run through the clubs allowing fans to watch players walk onto the field.

BNY Mellon will also receive permanent and digital signage inside the stadium and in the field area, a media package that includes radio and television placements and the opportunity to host several exclusive events for key clients, prospects and strategic partners, according to the company.

“As a major U.S. wealth market and one of our fastest-growing regions, the West Coast is a key part of our growth strategy and has been for years,” said BNY Mellon Wealth Management CEO Larry Hughes. “We view our partnership with the 49ers as integral to our strategic growth plans in the area.”
