Triad Advisors LLC, the Atlanta-based subsidiary of the Advisor Group, has appointed Brian Shulstad as senior vice president of business development, the company announced today in a news release.

Shulstad joins Triad from LPL Financial, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer, where he served more than 12 years as vice president of business development in both the independent and hybrid registered investment adviser markets throughout the southeast United States.

In his new role, Shulstad will be responsible for nationwide recruiting financial professionals. He will also work closely with Triad’s affiliated professionals to drive growth through branch expansion and strategic acquisitions.

Shulstad received a B.A. degree in business administration from the University of Georgia. He previously held senior roles at A.G. Edwards & Sons and H&R Block Financial Advisors. At Triad, he will report to executive vice president and chief strategy officer Nate Stibbs.
