Columbus, Ohio-based wealth management firm Budros, Ruhlin & Roe, with nearly $2.3 billion in client assets, has reorganized its executive leadership team.

The firm’s co-founder, Peggy Ruhlin, will become chair of the board of directors after serving as firm CEO, while Dan Roe and John Schuman will become co-chief executive officers. Scott Rister, a former executive with Charles Schwab & Co., will join Budros, Ruhlin & Roe as its new president.

Roe and Schuman, as co-chief executive officers, will be responsible for developing the firm’s strategic vision and long-term planning. They will work with Rister, who will implement the firm’s strategic plan and manage the firm on a day-to-day basis.

Ruhlin is a native of Dayton, Ohio. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. Ruhlin co-founded the firm with James Budros in 1987.

Roe, a graduate of Miami University, joined the firm in 1996 as a partner and chief investment officer.

Schuman, who joined Budros in 2001, is a shareholder in the firm. Before his promotion to co-chief executive officer, Schuman was chief planning officer. Schuman received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ohio State University and a law degree from Capital University Law School.

Rister was vice president and general manager at Schwab Compliance Solutions before joining Budros, Ruhlin & Roe last month. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Akron.
