Calamos Wealth Management has added two new advisors to the company’s New York Office.

Geoffrey Sargeant has joined Calamos as a senior wealth advisor. He was previously a senior vice president and wealth advisor at Neuberger Berman, where his team managed $1.8 billion in client assets.

Before joining Neuberger Berman, Sargeant was managing director and senior investment consultant at City National Bank in New York.

Sargeant is a 2000 graduate of Bucknell University. He earned his CFP designation in 2006.

Mark Rabinovich, previously a member of Sargeant’s team at Neuberger Berman, where he worked for 13 years, joins Calamos as a wealth planning consultant. Rabinovich started his career at Oppenheimer & Co Inc.

Rabinovich is a 2003 graduate of Boston University’s School of Management. He went on to earn an MBA with a financial management concentration from Iona College’s Hagen School of Business in 2012. Rabinovich received a certificate in financial planning and services from New York University.

Jim Baka, president of Calamos, warmly welcomed the two advisors to his company.

The addition of Sargeant and Rabinovich marks an initial move toward the firm’s planned expansion of its wealth management practice located in Midtown New York, at 610 Fifth Avenue in Rockefeller Center.
