Fairfield, Iowa-based Cambridge Investment Research announced today that it has hired Dee Morgan as senior vice president of strategic acquisitions.

Before taking his role at Cambridge, Morgan served as vice president at LPL Financial after stints at First Command Financial Services and United Capital Financial Advisers.

At Cambridge, Morgan will be responsible for public and private company acquisitions, asset divestitures and restructurings, minority investments and other strategic initiatives, according to the announcement.

Cambridge cited the growing influence of alternative assets and products, as well as a desire to improve its strategy and growth moving into 2024 as reasons for Morgan's hire.

“Acquisitions are a critical part of growth and business development, and Dee’s wealth of experience in this industry and versatile skill set make him an immediate asset to our team,” said Tammy Robbins, Cambridge's executive vice president and chief business development officer, in released comments. “We’re pleased to have his knowledge, vision and expertise in our corner as we look to build on our growth efforts now and in the future.”
