The CFA Institute, the Charlottesville, Va.-based association of investment professionals worldwide, has appointed Carole Crawford to the position of managing director for the Americas region, effective July 1, the association announced in a news release.

“Carole brings an exceptional skill set to CFA Institute,” said Margaret Franklin, the institute’s president and CEO. “She is a CFA charter holder who has been a longtime practitioner. She understands the complexity of the financial landscape and has been a trusted advisor to her clients over the years. And she knows us well from her volunteer service on the board of CFA Society New York and the CFA Institute Capital Markets Policy Council.”

Crawford, a graduate of the University of Michigan, most recently served as managing partner of fincap360, a boutique global family-office consulting and CFO practice she founded. Before founding her company, she was a senior investment consultant of Crawford Wealth Management of RJA, her namesake family office practice at Raymond James & Associates Inc., in Washington, D.C.

Crawford will be based in New York City. She will report to Lutfey Siddiqi, managing director, regions and society relations.
