Cetera Financial has tapped John Pierce as the firm’s new head of business development, the company announced yesterday.
Pierce is an industry veteran with three decades of experience, most recently as a consultant. In his new role with Cetera, Pierce will be responsible for recruiting financial professionals who share the firm’s vision of delivering an advice-centric experience to investors.
Pierce received a B.B.A. degree from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati; an M.B.A. degree from the University of London; and a PhD degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. He will report to Tim Stinson, a member of Cetera’s executive team and head of wealth management and recruiting.
Cetera Financial Group, headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., is a shared service organization serving affiliates that comprise the second-largest family of independent broker-dealers in the United States.
