Kerry Smith has been appointed director of human resources for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., CFP Board announced Tuesday.
Smith will be responsible for strategic and tactical management of the organization’s human resources programs and policies, including overseeing CFP Board’s talent management strategy, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s values and priorities. The appointment is effective May 30.
Smith was with the National Retail Federation, where she held human resources positions, most recently as vice president of human resources. In that position, she oversaw the development and implementation of policies and programs including recruitment, retention, legal compliance, benefits and compensation, employee relations and training, and payroll and performance management.
