Six Certified Financial Planner mark holders have declared personal bankruptcy, the CFP Board of Standards announced Friday.
The names are released by the CFP Board to help the public make decisions when hiring a financial advisor, the board said.
The advisors and the date of their bankruptcy filings are Jeffrey T. King, Kansas City, Mo., May 2015; Jason J. Glisczynski, Stevens Point, Wis., May 2013; William A. Burnett, West Palm Beach, Fla., April 2017; Jonathan Paul, Phoenix, October 2016; Erica Garnhart, Eden Prairie, Minn., June 2014, and Laura Whitfield Lincoln, Barnstable/Yarmouth, Mass., February 2013.
