Allen said there were currently about 55 students enrolled in the self-study course, and that the majority of them were employed as financial advisors. So far, he said, no one has dropped out.
For students that have the professional qualifications, initiative and discipline to complete the self-study course, there is a new generation of clients seeking their specialized financial counsel.
“This is a one-of-a-kind certification,” Allen said. “It isn’t a requirement for promotion, but it is a credential designating the advisor an expert in his or her field.”
