“The pursuit of perfection often holds women back” and makes them spend too much time on each project or presentation, Kay said. If you don’t spend months on a project, it won’t be so devastating if it fails, she added.
Women hesitate to ask others for anything, she said. “That is why not many women run for office—they don’t want to ask people to vote for them,” Kay said. “We all face our own confidence challenges. You are not the only one.”
