Cresset, headquartered in Chicago, has hired three new partners for the firm’s Midwestern offices, according to a news release.

Tyrone Stephens joins Cresset as a partner and wealth advisor for the Chicago office. He brings experience servicing the investment, lending and banking needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, the company said.

Before joining Cresset, Stephens was an investment specialist at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank in New York and Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business and environmental policy from the University of Michigan.

Michael Pinckney also joins Cresset as a partner and wealth advisor for the Chicago office. He specializes on asset allocation and investment manager selection.

Prior to joining Cresset, Pinckney served as a wealth manager with the Bank of New York Mellon. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Michigan State University and an MBA from Syracuse University.

Marcia Urban joins Cresset’s Minneapolis office as partner and managing director, wealth strategist for the Midwest region. She is an experienced wealth management professional who most recently served as director of legacy and wealth planning at Abbot Downing of Wells Fargo.

Urban earned a bachelor's degree from Stephens College; a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law; and an L.L.M. in taxation from Temple University-James E. Beasley School of Law.

Founded in 2017, Cresset has more than $5 billion in assets under management with six offices across the U.S.
