Dynasty Financial Partners has appointed Frank Coates to the position of chief technology officer and Taylor Howard to the new position of chief digital officer, the company announced in a news release.

Coates formerly served as executive managing director, co-group president at Envestnet Analytics. As CTO, he will be responsible for providing Dynasty’s client base with next-generation technology solutions. Coates will also support the Dynasty/Envestnet partnership by providing its shared Advisor Services Exchange (ASx) with digital solutions.

Before joining Dynasty, Howard led the artificial intelligence application engineering, digital workplace and data analytics practices at AgileThought, a global digital transformation and consulting firm based in Irving, Texas. In his new role, Howard will concentrate on Dynasty’s digital architecture, fine-tuning its digital enablement and key proprietary products, which include the advisor business solutions dashboard, benchmarking and integrations. 

Both men will be based in the company’s St. Petersburg, Fla., headquarters and will report directly to Ed Swenson, chief operating officer.
