LPL Financial has added a St. Louis-based team of financial advisors with about $170 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets to its broker-dealer, corporate registered investment advisor and custodial platforms, according to a news release.

Lead advisor Joe Roddy, Steve Mayer and Laurie Elfrank operate as West End Advisory Group. They were previously with Cetera Financial Group.

The release said the team works closely with in-house accountants and tax specialists to provide clients with holistic financial services, including financial planning, wealth management, retirement plan consultation and investment advice.

Roddy, who has been in the industry for nearly four decades, according to his BrokerCheck profile, said in a statement that the team works closely with people in transition, typically as they prepare for retirement. He also is a longtime alderman for the city’s Central West End, the release noted.

Roddy said they appreciate that LPL has made substantial investments in digital capabilities over the years. “By partnering with LPL, we have the flexibility to design our own technology and business model, and we believe this will help us elevate the service we provide to our clients,” he said. “Everything we do is for our clients. We view this as a long-term move that will set our business up for the future and best support our clients’ growing expectations,” he added.

Scott Posner, LPL's executive vice president of business development, said the company is proud to support the West End Advisory Group and looks forward to a long-lasting partnership with the team.
