Raymond James has added an ex-Edward Jones trio of advisors who managed $250 million in client assets to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS), its independent advisor channel in Saint George, Utah, according to a news release.

Samuel Bates, Darin Frandsen and Adam Fluckiger operate North Rim Financial Group. They are joined by client service managers Sara Bingham, Tabatha Ghramm, Michele Platt and Sheri Hamilton. The team provides wealth management, which include business owners, families, individuals with sudden wealth, pre-retirees and retirees, the release noted.

Bates, who worked in banking and business development prior to entering the financial services industry  in 2011 with Edward Jones, in a statement, said the team in part chose Raymond James because the firm “puts advisors in the driver’s seat of their own practice.”  He added: “In making the transition, we have gained both the freedom to always do what we feel is right for our clients, and the vast resources and expertise to design tailored plans that accelerate their financial goals.”

Frandsen, who started with Edward Jones in 2008, said Raymond James is the strong partner their practice needed as they “help clients navigate complex investment situations in ever-changing market conditions.”

Fluckiger also got his start with Edward Jones in 2011. He said their priority is to build and maintain a true partnership with their clients through trust and transparency. “The industry-leading technology at Raymond James supports that goal by streamlining communications and information to our clients, while providing advanced financial planning tools for us on the back end,” he said.
