Rockefeller Capital Management has expanded its Global Family Office in the Midwest with the addition of a five-member ex-Merrill Lynch team in St. Louis, according to a news release.

Gorin Ressel Wealth Partners, which was named among the “2023 Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams” by Forbes, managed $807 million in assets, the listing noted.

The team is led by managing director and private advisor Theresa Gorin and vice president and private advisor Tyler Ressel. Joining them are associate vice president and senior client associate Vonda Warren and client associates Melanie Kane and Rachel Portuondo. The team will report to Brett Thelander, Midwest divisional director at Rockefeller Global Family Office.

Gorin had been with Merrill Lynch since 1999, when she began her career, and Ressel started with Merrill Lynch in 2017, according to BrokerCheck.

“Gorin Ressel Wealth Partners joins our existing group of 16 elite private advisor teams based in the Midwest region,” said Michael Outlaw, the national field director of the Rockefeller Global Family Office, in a statement. “With nearly 100 years of combined experience, the group’s expertise in providing multigenerational wealth strategies and advice will help us serve a growing base of discerning clients across the United States,” he added.

Christopher Dupuy, co-president of Rockefeller Global Family Office, said the firm looks forward to working with the team. “Theresa, Tyler and their colleagues are outstanding additions to our firm and a great fit for our culture.”

Established in 2018, Rockefeller Capital Management offers services in 44 locations across the U.S. As of March 31, the firm was responsible for about $100 billion in client assets across its three businesses, Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
