Raymond James has added two former Morgan Stanley advisors with $175 million in client assets to Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s employee advisor channel in Naples, Fla., according to a news release.

John Patat and Joel Gravina operate Focus Wealth Management of Raymond James, serving an assortment of clients, including individuals, families, business leaders and more.

Patat, according to BrokerCheck, began his career with Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. in 1997. He also worked at UBS PaineWebber and Prudential Securities for short periods before moving to Wells Fargo in 2003. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2012.

“Raymond James is in a class of its own when it comes to putting the client-advisor relationship first,” said Patat, senior vice president, investments, in a statement. “The firm’s notable emphasis on culture and promise to guarantee the rights of its advisors spoke to us. In addition, since joining, we’ve continued to be impressed by the level of professionalism by the local management team led by branch manager Geoff Hunter.”

Gravina, associate vice president, investments, began his career in 2009 with Wells Fargo, moving to Morgan Stanley in 2015. “During this transition, we have seen firsthand the importance Raymond James places on supporting advisors and the positive impact that has on the client experience,” he said. “In addition to robust technology and insight tools provided by the firm, Raymond James offers our team the opportunity to build a customized brand that better communicates who we are and the purpose behind what we do.”
