Larry Jones started working with a tribe 17 years ago and began to develop a rapport with the tribe members. Other tribes then began referring work to him. He has worked for more than a dozen tribes to set up a variety of investment programs including 401(k) plans, adult per capita deferred trusts, minor trusts and tribal council non-qualified plans.
When his son, Taylor, graduated from college in 2006 he joined his father. In May, the pair joined Retirement Benefits Group, a retirement plan consulting and wealth management advisory firm with $10 billion in assets under management based in Southern California. The Joneses are located in the Ramona, Calif., office.
